I'm wondering if other MAC users are also have had problems with Stitcher 5.6? Also I would like to know if there is a fix, path or update to the following issues which are problematic.
1) No more Free Pan
2) You need to click twice before any tool works in 5.6
3) Force stitch no longer available...(we need this for sky and water images with no definitive matching points)
4) 5.6 can't open a previous version like 5.5 is not recognized by 5.6. How can we rework an older project with this not working?
5) Can't load 6 cubic images as a group to build a QTVR....now I need to open 6 files one at a time to load them
6) Defining a view point no longer works.....no matter what view point you choose for cylinder panorama the view point is chosen by the stitcher 5.6. 7) No view point can be chosen when rendering a QTVR for a Cubic VR
If anyone else is having issues or have found work arounds I'd love to hear about them.
BTW I'm hoping these notes help improve the program I love Stitcher 5.5 however Stitcher 5.6 has lost it's shine compared to the previous version. Waiting for a fixed version of 5.6.

gavyn | Yes I am hugely upset by these issues especially the backwards compatibility issue. I have had all these issues and a lot more. |
jim holbrook Viva la Vida | I have had one problem after the other with this MAC version. I finally dumped Realviz. I am a photographer of thirty years who doesn't want to spend all of my time trying to fix their problems- it's like buying a new car and having to design the steering and an engine to go into it. I am sorely sad I spent the money on this program. I know there are people out there who like this challenge, but this takes time away from real work. I have spent several frustrating months trying to get it to work for me. There are many people out there who like the challenge of making this program work, they recommend fixes found in other products like Cubicconnector or Cubicconverter- who actually list Realviz on their recommended product lists! You shouldn't have to fix the problems by buying into other programs, when the basic problelm is that you've been sold a product that is not ready for market.

macbonio | Hello,
I´m a really new forum member and working as a photographer of more than 30 years. Few days ago I tried a RV Stitcher Unlimited Demo-version before I may spend so much monery as you do. The fact is that (so it seems to me) for MAC users like us it is very hard to understand the software. I tried to produce a simple panorama with 5 photographs taken with a D200 and a Nikon 10.5 and as well with a 14 mm lens. The photograph was taken from the middle of a house but the preview was like I took the photograph from the left corner of the house. I tried and tried- but I couldn´t get another preview. Sorry about my English - hope you will understand. This is my great problem - manuals for panorama-software are mostly only in English available....
Never give up!!!
