hi
and another one: i've been in the zoo with my camera and filmed a lot of great animals. here's a tracked camera&elefant:
http://www.pixellusion.de/public/mm_elefant.jpg
http://www.matchmove.de/movies/mm_elefant_02_small.mov

there will be a lot more shots but currently i'm very busy with a big job, so the next one will need some more time

best,
basti :)

hi!

looks very cool your animal-animations!

i have a question:

do you use only the original footage or do you use any helpers or footage with markers?

thank you.

greez!

hi

i'm only using the plate you can see. helper frames won't be very helpful because i'm tracking only features which are not very obvious (no tracking points were placed on the animals). searching these features in helper frames would be very time consuming and very error lasting i assume.

but i'm using some inhouse plugins for my 3d tool to smooth the z motion, which can be quit jittery with low parallaxe on the animals or with animals far away from the camera.

hope this helps,
sebastian

waoo, that's exactly what i want to do .... did you use only matchmover to create the wired head or do i need to buy both image modeler and matchmover to do that? or maybe you did the wired head in a 3d soft?? can someone explain the different steps please?
thanx!

hii sebastian,

wow !!! what a great achievement,...realviz forum people really proud about you...just now i've registerd to this forum..then thought to write somthing for you.my personal favor is your "elepunk" its really creative idea.
first of all i wanna tell why im here. im working in 3d animation studio as a technical director. our up coming feature film required lot of 3d and camera tracking work. most of them object tracking... we are using 3d studio max as our 3d package. could you help me to find wht is the best way to get good result...i have mm track demo for 3d studio max (thanx realviz people) if i can achieve good result from it..i can buy this sw...i have real viz gnomon training dvds...its gave me good foundation..but the prob is lot of headache with 3d max...ok im gonna end this paragraph..he he...i have to see more about other threads.

see you around with cool new works..
wish you luck & good helth !!!
