» » dhalleck | Hello All,
I've been following the threads to see if anyone (any of the mac users) has come up with an answer to why the program seems to just not work, or even better a solution to make it work.
I've been trying unsuccessfully to render out various panoramics into Cubic QTVR or into flat spherical tifs and the program does neither it begins to render (sometimes) and the program just stops responding and then quits unexpectedly. The tech support I've gotten from realviz doesn't fix the problem. It's all the more frustrating that the demo version I had worked infinitely better than the whole purchased version I have now.
I don't know, I guess I'm just curious to see what everyone is doing about the inability of this program to work. I need to make these QTVRs but can't seem to get the thing to work, I just don't know what to do.
Help?
Thanks, anything would help dustin |
eyesforyou | Hi Dustin
I have had the same problem you are having with my mac sometimes I spend hours on my computer and I do not seem to get any where. It is very frustrating to work with this software I have never encountered so many problems with anything before I never seen when you are allowed to load a pano or to add hot spots I have been working with this problem for several weeks now and I can not get any help I feel so lost and I would like to get some phone support sometimes, like most products you buy there is phone tec help.
so you are not along. |
jobes | hi dustin
i've been using stitcher for a couple of years now, and i've found the best way of working out if there's a bug/incompatibility/issue when rendering is to create a new boot partition, install a minimal install of OS X 10.4 on there, and then the latest patched version of stitcher.
if you still experience the same issues you're having right now with this 'vanilla' installation, then it'll make it easier for realviz to check your crash report against your setup. if it works then there's probably something (preferences, dodgy 3rd party system extension etc) which is conflicting.
what system (OS), stitcher version and input types are you trying to render with? and what are you trying to output to? all these would also help narrow down the potential cause of your grief.
good luck! |
Sam Rohn | Stitcher Unlimited 5.5.4 (and earlier versions since 3.0) was (were) working fine for me under Mac OS X 10.4.x - i've never tried adding hotspots via stitcher though, just for assembling and rendering equirectangular tiffs -
however, trying to render a pano with rvstu 5.5.4 & OS X 10.5.1, rvstu suddenly quits at about 90% rendered - hopefully an upgrade for leopard is coming very soon.....
for hotspots, try Pano2VR, CubicConnector, etc - lately i've been using Flash Panorama Player, which is a bit more technical, but seems to be the most versatile option for vr hotspots at the present time...
