hi guys...
in order to prepare for my upcoming vacation trip to new zealand i was trying to shoot some spherical panoramas with my 35mm size sensor in combination with a 35mm lens.

i shot a total of 33 jpg images and loaded them in my stitcher 5.5.0. build:17914
the thumbnails showed OK but when trying to automatically stitch them no image shows in the stitching window.
also when i try to drag them one by one they don't get displayed - even though they get the green "stitched" colour.

could it be that the combined files are too big to handle for stitcher? every single image has a filesize of about 3.5 mb. i got 2GB of ram which is 100% accessible to stitcher according to the preferences.

please help me.. i don't want to find out after my vacation that i sould've done something different.

Hi loko!

Another thought re: memory. What happens when you load just one row  (10 images?) and stitch? It probably isn't a memory problem - at least for the stitching display part of the process - but this would be a way to check.

Also you should try setting the memory slider in "Preferences" to 40 - 50%. Your 2 GB of RAM is, I'm assuming, your total amount of physical RAM. Stitcher can address up to 2 GB of RAM and if you set Stitcher's memory to 100% it may try to grab it all (and you have to allow for System & other operations). Usually this is a factor when rendering - don't know if it applies to your situation - but you may want to experiment to see if this changes things.

On the Mac you can use the "Activity Monitor" (in the "Utilities" folder) to watch Stitcher's RAM use. Windows probably has a similar app.
