If you read the product comparison it tells you the DS option for Stitcher Unlimited lets you stitch 2 greater than 180° circular fisheye images like the iPIX software does.
Since the Sigma 8mm only has a FOV of 180° and isn't a full circular image on all but the Canon 1D, you don't need it.
