» » paul8 | Hello folks I have just downloaded the trial version of Stitcher Unlimited with a view to buy the real thing if I can impress my boss but I'm having trouble using hotspots. Could anyone tell me where I'm going wrong, I want to link the hotspot to an image on my desk top so in the properties I've selected "local" and then put the path in the next field "C:\Documents and Settings\Paul\Desktop\image"
It doesn't work but comes up with this message: cannot find 'file:///C;/Documents%20Settings/Paul/Desktop/image
I can successfully link hotspots to web pages but not other files on my computer, I'm sure this is a school boy error but I just can't figure it out!
Thanks in advance for any assistance

timefx | Hello Paul,
are you on PC or Mac?
If the file you want to point to is in the same directory then just enter the file name with its file-type extension (ex: image.jpg. Works fine for me on PC)
Otherwise, the naming of your directory might be an issue...
Best regards

paul8 | Thanks for your help Tim
I'm on a PC, I've done a little more research and I think the problem might be that I don't want to use URL. I'm looking to create a panorama with a couple of hotspots linking to images and then put the package on a CD so I wouldn't be needing to use the internet at all but could give the whole package on a cd to clients, if that makes sense. It seems the only options in the properties drop down is URLs (http or local)
You may have guessed I'm a complete beginer! I still can't work out how to link it!
Many thanks

Nik Milner | Hi Paul, I am having the same issue as how to put connected hotspots onto a CD for clients. You say 'All sorted now' how did you accomplish this.

norsk Play your own game well. | Looking for a hot spot solution that would not require the use of Director programming.
Is there a way to use connected hot spots within Cubic VR, use QuickTime, package on a CD?
Am experimenting with using PDF as the interface & playing an external QuickTime VR file. Clicking on the "Poster" link (static movie image) finds the QTVR and plays inside the Poster. |
