I'm new to Stitcher.  I'm running Stitcher Unlimited version 5.6.2, Build number 21210 on a Mac running OS X 10.5.2.

I am able to render a cylindrical QTVR.  However, I am not able to set the opening zoom, rotation or pan settings.  I am able to set a custom size (400 x 210) and when I click on QTVR preview, I am able to select an interesting point of view, set the pan and zoom, etc.  But when I close the window by clicking "okay" (and it looks good at that point), the changes are not saved and when the panorama is rendered, I do get the custom size but the pan, zoom etc. is wrong.  I am zoomed in to the highest resolution.  So I end up seeing a detail in the panorama, not the nice starting point I've selected.

The tutorial says that I should have seen a dialog box that asked me to confirm whether I wanted to keep the settings.  This never appears...

Any solutions?  How do you set the default zoom/pan for a cylindrical QTVR????

I still don't think that the preview is working, but I did discover that you need to uncheck both boxes that have to do with the minimum and default FOV.  If those are checked, then the rendered panorama almost seems random in where it is initially zoomed.  If unchecked, it starts at the maximum FOV.  That's satisfactory for me.  I can live without the additional preview functions.  Still appreciate info though!!!

What OS are you using - PC or Mac? Because the PC version doesnt work at the moment.

Hi jcoireangus!

The QTVR preview is a problem child in v5.6.x.

It has been almost a year and no fix - inexcusable - to put it in polite terms.

Try going to your "Project" settings and select the "Viewing Camera" tab.
You will see several fields: "Rotation" X, Y, Z - and "Viewing Angle".

Rather than explain the "X, Y, Z" settings - experiment: worth a hundred words on my part.

The "Viewing Angle" is your zoom factor.

Dial these factors in and you should get the render you desire.
And then again based on other cylinder content creators' comments - you may also need to define the "Render Area" ("Render" tab).
