Crazy Render Times

I've used Stitcher in the past and, while none of the pano apps are exactly speedy, my current experience is insane.

  I've got a 2 row by 7 image pano going - so 14 images. It's not a 360. The images are all 8-bit, 8.2 megapixel images.

Right now, it's in its sixth hour of rendering. It hit 99% in the first 20 minutes. No, it's not locked up. I found the directory where it writes the temporary files and they are SLOOOWLY growing in size. Right now it's on the 12th out of, I assume, 14 files.

I use enblend, but it hasn't gotten that far yet. With my luck, it'll crap out on the enblend stage or there will be a flaw in the pano and I'll be back to square one.

This is a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro with 4 GB of RAM running Leopard. The Stitcher version is 5.6.2.

  What gives?

Aaron,

Did you define render area in teh render options? Stitcher may be trying to process al of those black pixels.
