I am totally dismayed at this Stitcher program. I'm trying to get the patch 5.6.1 to install on a Mac 10.4.8 macbook pro 3 gig ram computer.  The installer would spin and spin and not recognize my hard drive to install.  So I restarted the computer.  Now it says it can not install because no Realviz products can be found?  HELLO.....?  WTF?   Bad programming.

The tutorial explains how to pan the image inside the program.  It does not work on the mac?  You got to be kidding me!!!  At this price of this software, it appears to be beta ware test software and you're selling it like this?  More bad programming.

Next, you claim this is a solution for IPIX users to migrate to?  Where is the Photoshop export feature to fix the seams professionally?  Stitcher seems are not up to par for professional use.

Ok, I have figured out the Photoshop editing part, it is just not intuitive when importing cubic images.

When trying to use the "load panorama" feature and click on the 6 cubic images from previous export, it will only allow me to select 1 image to import instead of 6 at a time by holding down the shift or command keys (standard mac protocol to select more than 1 item at a time for opening).  With the pan feature being broken on the mac version of Stitcher, one would have to believe that only getting to load 1 cubic image is not sufficient to make a pano.  But the program just knows to grab the other 5 images when exporting to cubic pano.    Overall, this could use some refinement so it is more intuitive and works like other mac programs.

I'm having the exact same problem as gatherlight when I try to run the Stitcher Unlimited 5.6 to 5.6.1 updater on my Mac (Dual 2.66 Mac Pro running 10.4.10).

I run the installer, but only get the message:
"You cannot install on this volume.  Stitcher Unlimited 5.6.0 not found"

Huh? :??:  :pfff:

I wonder if this is related to the bad VTour 1.2 HDR installer that screws up Stitcher if you run the 1.2 installer rather than the 1.2.1 installer.

Come on Realviz, software installation is the first step in the user experience when working with a product!

Hey Realviz...

we need to know what's up with this installation problem on macs.  I tried again today to download another patch and try to install.  Same problem, the installer can't find Stitcher to patch it.
What's the solution here?  I want this new flash stuff that's in the update and you're holding me up.

Certainly you test your patches before sending them out to customers?

Place the "Stitcher" folder inside the "Realviz" folder. It will work now ;)

--------

Le dossier "Stitcher" doit se trouver dans le dossier "Realviz", sinon l'installation ne fonctionne pas.

No, that does not work to place the stitcher folder inside the Realviz folder to get the update to work.

This is just really bad programming and needs to be fixed asap.    I am getting tired of waiting.

I would suggest to anyone wanting to buy the mac version of the software to wait or look at other options.

Is your "/Realviz/Stitcher/" folder in your /Applications/ directory ?

AFAIK the 5.6.1 updater requires that Stitcher be installed in the default /Applications/ directory in order to see it. Once the update has been made, you can move the folder back to where you had it. I keep all my non-Apple applications on a different partition and I had to move it around in order to do the update.
