» » chuck | Hi,
does anyone know if there are software packages for a PC which are the equivalent of what cubic converter is on the mac?
Cheers, Chuck |
djaurand | Chuck what are you wanting to convert from and to? ---------------

laurentnadir | I ve got the same question, I would like to convert a spherical render to a cubical in order to add and adjust the nadir... ( when i render directly in cubical mode with stitcher, the result is a little bit blured => morph method instead of smart which one isn't available)

I'm pretty sure RealViz Stitcher Unlimited can output the 6 faces of a cube from a spherical (equirectangular projection) image.
I think Pano2QTVR can do the same ---------------

laurentnadir | Yes it does it, but the result isn't satisfaying with the Morph method, I get some blur on the sides of each face of the cube... I found a solution yesterday evening : do the render in spherical mode in stitcher , centered on the nadir , then with the pure tools utilities you can extract the pictures from the ivp file in cubic format, so the pictures aren't blured , and so I can choose the face of the cube to display as an entry point, and re export the project in cubic mode ivp !
My problem was that if i want to add a nadir with photoshop I got to center the spherical picture on the nadir so it's not too distorted. But then the panorama started on the nadir entry point and the movement of the mouse was initialised with the nadir view.
If you have a solution to that problem so I dont have to go through with a cubical export and stay with a spherical, I m very interrested
thanks !
ps : pardon my english |
