I've just been playing with the demo version of 5.7 and I noticed that the "Add Nadir" item in the "Tools" menu is now enabled (it isn't in the previous version which is non-DS BTW).
Can anybody supply further info on this feature please?
I've searched the Help file for "nadir" and got no matches.

Does 5.7 come with the correct manual or was this feature added after the manual was created?

Confused!!

This was a feature previous only available for the DS version. As v5.7 now includes the functionality of the DS version it also adds the ability to add tripod caps.

The manual was written before this feature was introduced.

Ah! Thanks Andrew.
Any documentation from Realviz?

The new UI does look so much nicer than the previous version.

Andrew
Does the "Add Nadir" work with source images like 4 shots from a Sigma 8mm or is it limited to just 2 fisheyes like it was with DS?

Having the nadir functionality active in the latest version is worth the upgrade cost.

I still want the QTVR Preview workig though in Windows!!!
Any news on this one?

Just had a look at your tutorial, well done Andrew!
A question though.
Can I shoot a nadir shot with the camera off the tripod & point down and then add the nadir in Stitcher and then resize the nadir and possibly rotate it to merge it in?

Thanks,
Terry

Yes to the first part, no to the second (you can rotate but not resize).

But you can of course export the main image to cubical image then add the single nadir in as a single shot and export the nadir as a snapshot which removes the fisheye distortion. So you can then take both the down shot from the cubical image plus the single nadir shop into photohop and merge/blend/rotate/resize as required.

Thanks Andrew for the reply. The cubical export is certainly an option but the down side is that it is not as elegant as being able to do it directly within the Stitcher window if my idea was investigated.
Maybe v5.8?
It would be a real selling point me thinks?
