I am currently using a coolpix 8400 and sigma fisheye lens.  I bought these in Feb 07.  I wanted to know if there have been any up[graded cameras or lens that have come out recently, Is there a better camera and fisheye lens out there, that will allow the Double Shot 360 pano's?

Hi CJulio

Great news! We've just tested the all new Nikon P5100 with the Nikon FC-E8 fisheye lens converter and we're seeing great results:

These were stitched in REALVIZ Stitcher, exported to Immervision Pureplayer format and the pages were generated using Immervision PureTools.

Can you give me a help about which Adapter Ring i can use for Nikon P5000 + FC-E8 fisheye?
Is Nikon UR-E20 Adapter Ring the good one for me?

Thanks a lot.

Yes, you need the UR-E20.

Andrew
I'm curious how PURE Player accomplishes the progressive loading; grey scale to color.

I've noticed in some scenes (not yours) the greyscale doesn't quite line up with the color.

Are there 2 versions of the scene, one greyscale that loads very fast and one color that takes longer to load, in the .ivp file to get the quick appearance of a scene?

I'll have to try it out and see if the file is bigger with progressive loading than it is without.
