Hi,
Is anyone using Realviz Stitcher 5.6 on a Mac and able to use the batch render function for fisheye images? I am currently using Realviz Stitcher 5.5 and have been having the same problem for ages when attempting to batch render my fisheye panoramas. If version 5.6 seems to be working, I'd rather purchase it ans save my sanity!

Regards,

Chuck

Yes, with no problem. What is going wrong for you?

Where do I begin!.... I'm on a Mac, using OS X 10.4.9. I'm got Realviz Stitcher 5.5.4 (patch of stitcher unlimited 5.5). My Set-up:
Camera - Canon 5D
Lens - Canon 15mm Fisheye
Shots - 6 around, zenith & nadir
I'm desperately trying to get the render queue (batch rendering function) to work for my pano's. I've been given a workflow but it's a little ambiguous and doesn't seem to work. Here it is:

'Basically you just go to the Render Dialog, then to the Settings Management section on the far right.  There you see where to set your settings directory, the location is up to you.  Then you can click 'save current settings' in that directory.
Later, in the Render Queue, you will see where to choose the settings directory if it's not done for you already.  Choose the project, the set and apply them together.'

When doing the above workflow I get the following error message:
'error during file save, make sure that quicktime player isn't open(0).'

Do you have any ideas? Or could you explain your workflow step by step (as if describing to a child - as I feel like I am one)?

Best Regards,

Chuck

You are being bamboozled with 2 issues here.
If your renderings will have common output settings, then create a settings file. To do this, set everything up you want for a render in the render dialogue then choose settings management. Choose a directory to save the settings in and then save the current settings also.
Now, for each pano you want to render, stitch it and save it. If you are not going to use a common settings file for all panos then open the render dialogue and when the settings are made choose close instead of render. Then save the file.
Open the batch settings. Load those previously stitched panos. Choose the settings files if you made one. And render the queue.

Not quite child-like descriptions, but I hope lacking ambiguosity. I hope that helps. If not, post back. I have been doing runs of 5 renders regularly this last month, so am too familiar with this.
