I'm using 5.1 and when I select the AutoPAN + Reset option set to -5, the resulting movie is jittery, or showing one frame at a time rather than a smooth rotation.  How can I make the rotation smooth?  Thanks.

Hi there

I posted a similar gripe a few weeks ago & someone kindly replied..this is the posting, hope it helps you...

BTW I now use autopan set to -1 seems to be the best of the bad options!

Hi I'm new to the forum..

I've been reading through some older threads regarding this Autopan issue but nothing seems to have been resolved...has anyone got to the bottom of this problem?

PROBLEM: I want to render a QVTR which pans smoothly all the time in a web browser or offline etc, but want the spinning movement to be stopped by clicking if the viewer wants to use the mouse to control or zoom in/out etc.

I've experimented with every speed setting -1-2-3-4 etc etc with AUTOPAN+Click or AUTOPAN+Reset options - but the speed is stupidly fast EVERY time - whatever speed setting you use!

The only solution I've found is to just use AUTOPAN with a speed of -2. This looks ok, but you still can't stop the panning motion when you click on the image.

This truly sucks - can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi Harry -

Unfortunately what you wish to do, however sensible, is not possible. The autopan 'feature' was hastily implemented without much reflection as to the real utility of such a function. So we're left with something that doesn't really work. Please send an email to support@realviz.com to register that you're aware that this should be changed and hasn't been.

Thanks for your quick reply Andrew. It's pretty bad that such a detail could be overlooked - I'll send an email to Realviz, but seems wrong that customers have to campaign to get what they want.

Hope I don't come across the same problems trying to output to a Java viewer..any suggestions much appreciated.

Hey,
Has anyone made anymore progress with this issue? (since 2006?) I'm using Stitcher Unlimited 5.6 and in the process of downloading the patch for 5.6.2. I was told some autopanning issue was solved by the new .2 version, but not what exactly and was wondering if it was worth the time or is the solution to the problem?

and i thought this was the most amazing animated smilie ever. :bounce:
