Excuse me for my bad english. I'm a french Canadian from Québec.  :pt1cable:

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium.

I downloaded Stitcher unlimited demo (5.6). I tried to run Stitcher unlimited without succes. The program doesnt want to start.

Then i uninstalled Stitcher unlimited and download and install Stitcher Pro demo.

Now everythings works fine.

I just want to help. So i wonder what ares the files in the Unlimited version that seems to doesnt work propely with Vista. It must be files that you dont find in the Pro version.

Thanks for your reply.

Could it be the Microsoft Visual c++ 2005 package?

I'm also using Windows Vista Home Premium, and have Stitcher Unlimited. It more or less works, but there are definitely some issues - from minor to completely blocking the system requiring a re-boot - and I don't know if SU or Vista is "to blame". Note that RealViz says the requirements are XP. I would like to know if they are working on Vista full compatibility.

I've discovered what causes the bug that completely blocks Stitcher Unlimited during renders with Vista Home Premium (at least on my computer).

If I use 'stencil > preserve inside' then renders always block the system requiring a re-boot.

The exact same project with the stencil(s) removed always renders successfully.

I installed Stitcher Unlimited on Vista Ultimate on a Thinkpad laptop. Stitcher comes up fine. When I move the mouse cursor over the window Stitcher crashes. RealViz has a long way to go for Vista support.

I'm using Vista Ultimate with Stitcher 5.6.1 and all is fine. It could be a display driver issue you have there, rather than a generic Vista compatibility issue.

Try emailing support@realviz.com and I'm sure they can help out.

Here is the response from RealViz:
------------
Dear Sir,

The latest version of Stitcher came out just before Vista and it was tested by the developer under Vista without any problems.  However, we have reports of issues, and the developers are working on the update.

Best regards

Has anyone had any success with getting Stitcher Unlimited to run under Vista?

I have submitted a request to Tech Support but have not had a reply yet (2 days).

Regards

Andrew

Dear sirs,
the problems we have with Vista are often linked to ATI Mobility Radeon graphic cards. After upgrading the driver, if one of has a configuration Vista + ATI which is working fine, we would be glad to know what is the driver version which has been installed.
Thanks a lot.
