Slow motion retiming problems help!

Trying to slow down some high res footage by half and I'm getting some serious artifacting as well as Ghosting problems. The footage is of some hockey players skating. Nothing to crazy. Any suggestions or tricks with regards to prefs and properties . Thanks :)
Is the software limeted to easy shots and if not what specifically is the trick to tweaking . Is it maxing out the max displacement (240) and cranking up the levels to high or what ! Or is it just to much for realviz to handle . Thank -you very much .

Retimer's output is highly dependent on the original footage so these are a few recommendations to try to improve your results

This kind of ghosting effect usually occurs whenever a foreground layer moves differently from the background. It can also happens if you have crossing objects, etc...In that case, the best to solve these artifacts is to draw mattes enabling to separate the motion of the foreground from the background's one.

Concerning the max displacement, try to set it as closely as possible to the real max disp of the scene (try to use the ruler tool to help you find out the right max disp.). If the max disp is too small it tends to create a ghost of the next frame; if it's too large it may generate artifacts.

In that particular case setting a High quality mode won't help you to improve the results (it will improve only if the normal quality is satisfactory).
