hey everyone first time posting here!  i've looked the answer for this up on many boards already and still havent found a good answer.  i understand the general process for setting up a co-ordinate sys,  more i understand the theory behind it.  my question is, with the chinese lion video, how would you set up a co-ordinate system so z is up ??  i've put my origin point down on a point, dragged my x to a point, sometimes it moves, sometimes it stays.  same for the y.  i got it to work once!  i'm a senior in college now, animation major, and we have Boujou, i hate the program, its soo sensitive to anything, and my one teacher has MM in his office.  if i can figure out MM then i could possibly get rid of boujou.  anyone with ANY help please!!!  make a script for MM so it can automatically have a 3dsmax setting built in, it would save tons and tons of headaches for a lot of users i'm sure.

Hello !
First, you can select in the project global properties wich up axis to use.
Then you should be able to build you coordinate system, using several ways in MatchMover (depending on your version):
1- using reconstructed 3D tracks
2- using the 3D manipulator
3- using point relations
4- using survey points
Scripting capabilities have been added in version 3.1, which will make what you request possible.
Hope this helps, and do not hesitate do send your project file to support for an in-depth answer.
Thanks
