ok.. first up i am using 640 x 480 digital camera footage.. but here the low down..

ive  tried about 5 times.. with the last footage being a slow and careful rotate shott .. on a very contrasty tabletop. tracking auto comes out with like all  180 green points. when i switch to 3d mode my grid is facing some random direction with no match.

So i go manual.. look onto 15 - 20 points and try again.. these track ok.
once ive solved.. again - complete grid missmatch.

Is it just failing or can i align the grid.. or is it having trouble with the lense calcualations..?? i stumped. i try and follow the tutorials but i hit a fork with where they go and with wat i get.

PS.. matchmover 3.0

help most appreciated

OH PSS .. and how come even after caching do i still get a small hiccup everytime i play back footage.. does not seem right :S
(3200 with gig ram, fire GL.. so?!)

Hello !
If you did not provide any coordinate system definition before launching the solver, the grid you get as a result is just a default grid, centered approximately in the middle of your point cloud, but it has in no way a meaningful orientation.
So you have to define your own coordinate system in order to go on further in the process. There are several ways to define it (using the parameters window, the graphical widget or survey points), see the doc for details.
Basically, you just chose the origin point and define 2 axis and a reference distance.
That's it.
