Just can't get the camera the right way around in max?!

I've read posts concerning this, but just can't seem to get a fix. I'm tracking a pan of a landscape, that moves from the sky to the ground, and then sideways. The problem is, I have the up axis set to z for max export, but, when imported into max, the camera is at -90 degrees to where it should be, so in the left viewport, rather than pointing left, its pointing straight down. I tried making a dummy at 0,0,0 and linking the points and camera, then rotating the dummy 90 degrees, but then the camera seems to behave differently. Any suggestions would be mighty kind.

have you got the z axis set to up in the preferences in matchmover? Also have you then set the coordinate system in Matchmover?

How do you set z axis and coordinate system?? I think I am having a similar problem.  Any help would be much appreciated!
