Hi, friends!

I try calibrate cameras, that placed around. I use five bright markers with distanse between them 20 cm in vertical line. All right. Movimento calculate coordinates of each camera, but mistake 40-70 (!) cm in same axis. Is it acceptably? What mistake acceptably?

And then some all cameras upside-down and placed to negative value. (Ex: Y coordinate is -200, but in real world is 200). How i can avoid it problem?

Thanks.

Hello artberry,
can you please post an example image or link to your project on a ftp.
Is the offset the same for all cameras and in which axes?
Where and how did you define your coordinate-system?
It seems to me that properly set up coordinates will solve your problems.
Best regards
Tim

Hi Tim. Thanks for answear.

http://www.yagodin.narod.ru/TestCalibration.rar
It is arhive with 3dmax scene (whit cameras and markers) and images and MOVIMENTO calibration file.

In video tutorial Calibrration.mov in documentatin nothing say about set Coordinate System. There is check box Set Coordinate System. I think that coordinate system set up automatically. Isn't that so?

Hello artberry,
I had a look at your mvf-project and it looks right to me. In fact, Movimento automaticly sets a coordinate system to the first group of tracks, viewed through the 1st camera, assuming that the lowest track is your world-zero, the highest is Y-up, X is to the left and Z away from this camera.
If your world-coordinate system in 3DSmax is different, you'll need to adjust this accordingly.
Best regards
Tim

PS: When in 3D-view, you can set the "3D Up Axis" to your conveniance: Y by default, X or Z, according to your needs.

Tim
