Hello!

As a user of matchmover, it would be nice to speak to some other users, about filming techniques, and the ways in which it is best to make good tracking scenes in areas where there are few static points to track.
Anyway, someone else say hello, and get this forum moving a bit.

Nice 1

hello,
thanks to initiate the MatchMover Forum. A great welcome to you and all the Matchmoving fans. Don\'t hesitate to give us all your comments, tricks and tips, goodies, etc... you use to perform your Matchmoves.
As part of the support team at Realviz, I don\'t know a lot about filming techniques but I can give you some hints.
MatchMover likes when there is some parallax in the sequence you shoot.
It\'s good to have 2D tracks in the foreground at different heights as well as in the background. If you shoot a blue screen, you can add stickers at different places to be able to track something.
If you have no parallax (a Pan or a travelling), it\'s good to have either, helpers frames, which are single pictures taken from another point of view which introduce some parallax. You simply put your sequence 2D tracks in the helpers frames and set your helpers frames as reference frames.
Another way to help MatchMover is to give 3D coordinates to points of your sequence. If you have time, it\'s good to take these measurements when you do your shot.
