Ronald | Hello
Your command line looks bad:
distoIma -u 0.1624 -f 32.11 -k 32 -a -p -q 100 -o disto.jpg IMG.0309a.JPG IMG.0330a.JPG You use the -a flag with no value for aspect ratio.
You use the -p flag with no principal point
If you do not want to set these values, just remove the flags.
Try this:
distoIma -u 0.1624 -f 32.11 -k 32 -q 100 -e 330 IMG.0309a.JPG disto.####.jpg
to convert all your frames from 309 to 330 |
hium | hey thanks that works perfect for me. |

chicolima | Hi guys,
Do you guys always remove the image sequence lens distortion before performing a 3d track??
In order to use DistoIma I need to use Matchmover so it can calculate the Lens distortion....
I'm doing 3d track on long image sequences (300 frames) in HDTV 1920x1080.
In order to get the correct lens distortion calculated by MM, how many frames should I track?? Will matchmover be able to provide me with the correct lens distortion after doing an autotrack on 30 frames??
Or should I let the Auto track run for the 300 frames, only then get the lens distortion info, use that info on DistoIma to remove the lens distortion and then 3d track the whole image sequence on the sequence without lens distortion??
This takes alot of time....
Rgds,

signet | hi i have recently done a very large track using 1920 1080 footage as well.
dont worry about you distortion before match moving.
Follow this basic step by step
1. load sequence 2. set up camera in MM best you can with what information you do have.
3. if you know there is lens distortion on the footage but you dont know the value make sure that the distortion parameter is constant intialised. this tells MM to complete the track and take the distortion it finds into consideration. 4.once the solve is done MM should have worked the distortion value out for you. ( and you will notice the footage plate in MM will look "spherified" ) IN essence the MM track and solve will look solid in MM but when you bring that in to a 3d program or Compositor the track will appear OUT as the footage only appears distorted in MM. 5. this is why you are using distoima.
6. you only need to remove the distotion on the seqeunce for use in any other package apart from MM. 7. so using the value from MM use the script to undistort/distort the entire seqence and use this corrected sequence as your background in your 3d package or compositor. then the camera will match the footage perfectley
Hope this makes sense |
