Coordinate system

I am having some difficulty understanding how to define a coordinate system in Macthmover Pro. From the tutorials included in the package - I can't seem to find a good explanation on how to define a coordinate system, it just says "choose two points" - not explaining which points/trackers to choose.

I've tried to use logic; I used some tracking points on a building to define the x and z axis (x-along the front wall - and z - along the side wall (with y as the up axis) - but this did not work.

Can anyone give me some pointers on how to define a propper coordinate system - I would really appriciate it!

To define a coordinate system in MatchMover you need at least five points :
  - one for the origin
  - one for the first axis (X in your case)
  - one for the second axis (Z for you)
  - two to define the reference distance and therefore the scaling. These two may be the same as the first three.

Chances are that you did not set the points to define the distance (General tab of Coordinate System properties in all versions, and blue distance snap manipulators in MM Pro 2.5), therefore for the software the coordinate is not entirely defined.

To define the scaling, either choose two points from your scene in order to define the reference distance, preferably two points between which the distance is known (points on a building, both sides of a road, ...) then :
   - (MM Pro 2.2) choose them in the Distance panel of the General tab of the coord system properties.
   - (MM Pro 2.5) snap both ends of the manipulator to one of the chosen points

2nd TutorIal (Orbital camera motion) explains in detail how to set a Coordinate System.
