maybe i do something wrong, please help me:
1.Import fotage [Sequence]
2.Put trackers manualy, then press "Solve for Camera", or allow program to auto track my video.
( tracking is succes, i see camera traectory and everything is ok)
3.1 I export all stuff as 3D Max Script - camera has no movement, it just rotates.
3.2 I export all stuff as .FBX, when i open there is camera movement, and Dummy is in center of the scene, but camera has no point of look - it is FREE, but no target. So i change Camera to target and align its target to dummy, but it is not what i want, cause in video camera has no Fixed point.

how can i export matchMover result to 3D Max [Release 5] correctly, maybe it is problem about 3D Max ?

Hi,

Can you confirm your exact version/build number of MatchMover (see about box) and your platform.

Also, can you test the same export on a more recent version of MAX ?
In which software did you import the .FBX file ?

Maybe you can send us your project (.mmf) and the corresponding export (.ms) for us to check.

Thanks

MatchMover Pro version 4.0.0 (build 16792).

platform, i don't get what you mean, maybe OS Widnows XP Profesional SP2? I cann`t  check export to recent versions.

I try to import FBX right in 3D Max,  it works incorrectly.Today i tried to make another way:
1. create .FBX in MatchMover - camera motion
2. create .FBX in 3D Max - 3d object
3. combined that in Digital Fusion, it works correctly with right angles and trajectory.

so i think, that problem in 3D max.

and another question: what`s the difference between "Solve for Camera", "Extend Camera", "Extend Camera Fixed"

Thnaks you for finding time for my problem

Hi,

Solve for camera starts from scratch (from nothing)
Extend camera starts from the currently computed solution, adds everything new and refine all
Extend camera fixed starts from the current solution but do not modify it, it only adds new data

Bye

lamer11,  have you had the problem when you export the script into Max, that the sequence plane from matchmover is imported but completely white?  That's my problem, and I cant figure out how to solve it.  It wont let me select it so I can delete it, and since it is suppose to have the image sequence on it, its covering the background viewport so I cant render any green screen.

As for your problem, when you export, do you have "camera" or "scene" checked in the "Animation"  dialogue?  I myself am not having your problem, but I am using Max 9.   I do know that you should export it as a Max script and not as a fbx file.
