Versions and Support?

Ive been sort of watching this product for a few years, but never really was pulled into using this product. I ended up using another product which got as far as version 2, but has not seen any work done on it for awhile.

Ive been very impressed by the new 3D V-tour stuff, but this is all based on new technology, which image modeller is a few years old. My questions are:

1. When is the new version of IM due to be released? Sorry if this has been asked amillion times before
2. Ive seen a couple of posts in this forum (Spam) that really should have been removed very quickly, and i would be worried about investing money in a product that doesnt have a support backbone to it. What is the support like for IM? The reason i say this is that i have been burnt before with Canoma (which was sold and never came back), and another product i invested over £500 in and doesnt seem to be going anywhere.

Hope these are ok questions, i just want to ensure if/when the new version is released that i dont put myself in a similar position again.

Many thanks

Jason

I still want to get IM, but after being burned by another product as mentioned previously, which only got to version 2, then I want to make sure that IM is going to move forward.

So is a new version of IM in the works yet?

Sorry if you have been asked this lots of times before, but as the original IM came out in 2004? that is a very long time...

Hope you can give me/us some good news.

Jason

My advice - buy Imagemodeler as with the backing of Autodesk I think you can look forward to seeing some great new features soon.

I'm hoping Autodesks purchase will mean that a new product will appear, but after the Adobe debacle with Canoma where a new version was nearly already finished, they binned it :(.

So after investing alot of money in these types of products already, I have to admit i am wary. The other thing i worry about is paying £400 for a product that is quite old, with no idea if I would get a free update if i did so.

So lots to think about :D

Dear sir,
sorry but the new rule from Autodesk does not allow us to communicate on future releases.
