hello, brand new to imagemodeler. i was wondering if anyone could help me get started w/ doing simple organic shapes. mainly quick head models, etc. if i could figure out how the mask example supplied w/ the demo version was created i'd be on the right track and fine. i did the tutorial of the building but that one was common sence. is there one for the mask example? or any other IM tutorials at all? on the web etc.? from reading old posts here i gather there is a way to generate an automatic mesh after you calibrate? i need figure this out. or doing faces one at a time? if just building a primative sphere and the split polygon and extrude surface etc. is the only way then this isn't an automated app. at all and i'm better off just building from scratch in maya to begin with. it seems that all the tutorials previously listed on this site to do this stuff aren't online anymore. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

I'm sure you've seen my recent posts about the theatrical set.  I ended up abandoning the project for now, because I must get other things done. Another gentleman tried to pick up on IM where I left off, but gave up after two days of effort.  Again, he felt he could be more productive in Maya.  However, the way I understand how he would do it in Maya (using orthographic photos) the accuracy would just not be there.  But, I know almost nothing about Maya.

But, of course, all programs have their strengths and weaknesses.   Maya may be easier to use for a face shape where you don't need high accuracy.  Please keep us updated.
