I have recently delved into ImageModeller and Stitcher.  The learning curve is a little steeper than I expected especially with IM, or at least it has  not worked out quite as I had expected.  What seems to me to be really anoying is how sluggish the response of IM is.  Is it the platform - G5 Mac dual 2gig with 1gig Ram 128mb video latest OS10? - Does it run better under windows?

All i can say is that it's SLOW for me too. When i use 6.1 mpx images it's barely useable.
