hello
 
i am not able to import obj's. the import box opens and i can navigate to the file but it remains greyed out and unselectable - i am running out of time for a client deadline. fustrating stuff. any tips appreciated.

  This probably means that the obj file was not created on Mac (a PC?) and has not the right Mac file type.
In the file filter select "All Documents" and the obj file should be now selectable.

thanks for the quick reply.
 
i had triied that yesterday and it does not work. i also tried selecting the obj from the dropdown menu. i also tried exporting it as a .dxf instead. they remained grey also.  
 
i did try to find another obj that was not made by me and funilly enough that would allow me to select it but it would not import - so i could select it but it would not actually show up in IM.
 
i am using C4D r10 but have also tried to export .obj tests from R 9.6
