Hello, I know that this forum here is maybe the wrong place to ask this question, but I havn't the time to try out both softwares. So I try it here..
The first difference that i have noticed is that ImageModeler needs 2 images and canoma only 1.. I'm a professional user of Alias Maya 5.0 and want to use this tool to create an environment inside a tracked shot that i've done with Boujou (like matchmover)

-How good is the connection to matchmover or other softwares?
-Is it possible to track filmed footage and re-create some buildings in this shot with matchmover & IM?
-Is there a way to model with only 1 image in IM?

..I would be happy if someone who has used both softwares could tell me the pro & con's of this 2 products...

greetings sebastian

p.s.: sorry for my bad english, i have to learn this language:-)

Hi,

I do not know Canoma enough to make a full comparison.
In the case of one image Canoma is more in competition with SceneWeaver. Sceneweawer calibrates a single image or a panorama (even full sphere).

For 2 images and more, Canoma is easy to use, but has less functionnality than IM.
ImageModeler has a lot of export capabities, including Maya.
What's important is that a lot of data are exported, not only the models, the textures, the points but also the calibrated cameras.
