Hello,

There is no official support for the Cinema4D native file format.
But Maxon Cinema4D has some nice Read/Write facilities.

This is what you can find on their web site:
"CINEMA 4D supports 15 industry-standard 3D exchange formats that make it easy to incorporate models from other applications or provide your own models and scenes in another format.
Common formats like DXF, OBJ, VRML, 3DS and LW allow easy exchange of objects and scenes with almost any 3D application"

I have tried with an IM project that had meshes, textures, colors, points and cameras and exported to several file formats and tried to import them in C4D. I tried to export in Lightwave format (project.lws obj1.lwo obj2.lwo ...) and in WRML format.

All objects were imported (points, cameras, meshes,...). I had only a pb with the texture: no textures are imported the first time.
I had to move the textures from their project_TX repository and place them at the same level as the project.lws(wrml)  file, then it worked well.

I do not know C4D very well, It seems C4D does not read the texture path in the files, but has some "internal" texture path that you can set (Edit->Preferences->Textures).

I did not try OBJ, DXF, because they did not handle cameras, and 3DS is not exported by IM.

Stef.
