Is there any way to hide only the cross markers or dot markers in Imagemodeler 3.5?

  Yes, you can hide locators (2d and 3d instances) or their labels.
Check in the display properties bar : kind of 2d cross button

Thanks, but found that button already---- but can you hide EITHER the crosses OR the dots in one view- ie. so I can see only 3D or 2D markers at one time?

No, the 2 instances of a locator (the 2d marker and 3d reprojection) are drawn together ...
