The KMZ IM and VT samples available on your site
do not load correctly with the latest GEarth version
(4.0.2722). Do IM and VT need a fix to support this
new version?

Hello Philippe,

Those kmz file have been generated with the beta version of Google earth. It seems they changed the orientation system. We will check our exporter with this new version.
Changing the coordinates system in IM before exporting could be a work around...

Best,

Stef

Hello Stef,

the Antibes model seems to appear with a 90° rotation in GEarth:
adapting VTour and IM to this new GE 'feature' is probably no big deal,
but is important to me :-)

Hello Philippe,

We made some tests with the new version of google earth. The solution is to export from VTour or from IM the scene with Y as the up-axis (no longer Z up).
- In VTour, if you chose Y as the up calibration axis, you don't need to enable the "inverse Y and Z" option when exporting.
- In IM, use the worldspace tool (enables to change the coordinate system) to set or change the up-axis of your scene to Y.
We will change our examples on the web site soon.

Best,

Stef

Stef,

the fact that neither VT nor VM need to be changed to adapt to the latest GE version is excellent news, thanks!

Please let us know when the KMZ samples have been updated...

Best regards,

Philippe
