face selection

Is their any way to select faces at the opposite end of objects. For example if I am looking at one face of cube (lets call that the front), is there a way to select the face at the opposite end  (backend) of the object, without have to go out of the 'Lock View' mode and rotate around the object so I don't lose my reference with the images.

Could be that this is described in the manual, but I can't find it.

I am trying to find a way to do this too.  I am trying to select a face that is not visible in any reference image without unlocking the view.  Maybe there is a key that toggles through the faces of a primitive?

Try this.

1) Split the window into 2 panes.

2) Drag the same image into both panes.

3) Unlock one pane and rotate around so that you can select the face/vertex/edge that you desire.

4)  Manipulate the face/edge/vertex as necessary using the locked viewprt and reference image to monitor your progress.

Hope that this works for you.  It solved my problems.

Thanks for your reaction. I had the same idea, but hoped it was possible in another way. Maybe it wil be possible in 'the next version' :-(
