Hi - trying to open a .ma file exported from Image Modeler 4.  Maya 8.5 won't open it and says that Maya Version 2 files are no longer supported and won't open the file.  am I doing something wrong?

  Try this workaround that should work:
- Open your .ma file (its ascii file) in a text editor
- remove the line "requires maya "2.0";"  (located at the top of the file)  
- or replace 2.0 by 8.0 / 8.5
