Hi Folks,

I am a newbie to this software. I have already learned Stitcher and Sceneweaver. I don?t have any problems with creating boxes with IM, but I haven?t a clue as to how to go about modeling a car.

I have seen that this can be done as one of the gallery movies has one created from 6 photos. This is an example of the kind of car model that I would like to create.

Unfortunately I can?t find any tutorial or info in the manuals that can help me. Everything is very schetchy and unclear. Particularly as the interface and tools dont operate like anything I have ever used before. Plus the buggy nature of the software itself doesn?t help.

Some of the PDF documents that I have downloaded refer to an older version and thing appear to be quite different.

Can anybody help in any way? Is there some source of instruction anywhere? A book or tape or DVD?

I have e-mailed RealViz with similar questions but they don?t bother to reply. So for me there i nothing but frustration here. Please help.

Hi Folks,

I am further down the track now as I discovered that someone else has asked the same question and received a reply directing them to an ftp address with a IM file containg a Xsara.

This I have downloaded and am trying to work through it.

I am trying to calibrate the images at the moment (still a rather confusing process). I have successfully imported the completed file supplied to Maya and SceneWeaver.

I don't suppose that anyone out there have done this (a car) successfully that could give me a few pointers?

I don't seem to get how to calibrate with more than one image. To me the tools operate rather eratically so I figure I must be completely braindead or something as a lot of time is being spent with no real improvement in understanding.

I have read the manual a number of times.

Any help at all would be most greatfully accepted.

Hi,

I'm checking out this site for the first time and I actually use Poser 4 and 5 character animation programs. But here is my suggestion: go to www.studioartfx.com. The artist, Terrence Walker, is an animator and he uses Realviz in some of his animations. If you email him, he may be able to help you. I hope this helps.
