Why is it that although I have been able to callibrate my my jcb model with all indicators and cameras turning green, and a 'successful callibration' message appearing, when I come to create modelling points I am unable to do so successfully? Sometimes automatching doesnt work, and when it does create a point, it is shown in the incorrect position in some views. When I turn off Automatching, the problem still occurs. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hello,

If the 3d locators does not appear in the right place on some shots, that probably means that they are not well calibrated.

Some tips to check a calibration:
- place a new calib marker and check that the guiding line pass through the right place in all the shots. If not, place the marker in all shots were it should be and re-calibrate.
- check the shots parameters (focal and distortion) :in Scenebrowser select the calibrated shots, and check the cameras properties, and see if they are accurate.
- check your camera device parameter : Is it set to constant or variable
Have you shot your images with constant zoom ? (if yes than constant is what you should set in camera device property for focal length and distortion)

If this does not help, please send your project to support@realviz.com

Best,

Stef
