Maybe this could be the next version, they are looking for licensing options!
 
Wouldn't it be a great product for IM to automatically recognize matching images, and generate 3D models. Matchmover from stills for 3D Max scenes.

  Thanks for the tip. Some of our collegues Where also in ICCV in Nice, and noticed also this interresting job of M Brown.
Automation of all the technos we develop, is something we try to do, for sure, but it is not so easy and need time to be integrated in a Product.
 
Matchmover has an automated calibration and point generation since 2.2 Pro. It's a a good solution to get cameras and point clouds from videos and even for stills (if you take many) that are taken with slow and contineous displacement.
In IM, it is more difficult as we don't want to specialize the capture process (that you have in DSculptor or last Canon software; those soft are dedicated for little objects on a table, and have more automation).
